We´re back again :-)
I am proud to announce the second Gaming-Models Contest.
From today (12.07.2009) to 09.08.2009 you have the chance to participate in this contest.
The main theme of this contest is to create plant models. Anything from trees, bushes, over flowers, to exotic plants is allowed and can be uploaded for this contest.
The engine this models should be created for, is the Source EP1 Engine.
If you want to let your models participate in our contest, just upload your model on www.gaming-models.de.
The winner, who will be determined by our Jury, will get a 50€ Amazon gift-coupon.
The second prize will be a full working student license of Crazybump, a faboulus software to create bumpmaps (heightmaps) from ordinary textures.

The Gaming-Models-Team wishes Good Luck to everyone!

Hah! Just in time! I'm about to buy myself a student's copy of Softimage 7.5. As soon as I get it I'll definitely try to make something for this competition!

-Ya, ya, I know I can use the mod tool just as easily, but I find its texture editor a little buggy. Plus I'm waiting for my motherboard to get replaced so I'm gonna have to wait to model anything anyway. I think this may deserve a front page news post! I'm glad you've decided to advertise on our site about this!

I wish anyone deciding to go into this good luck! :hee:

Man, I honestly totally forgot all about this competition. After waiting so long for my motherboard to get replaced and then waiting for the software to get delivered to me, I got wrapped up in other things. Sorry for not getting around to making a front page post about it. ;( But if it's worth anything, you guys are now part of our esteemed links page! So, maybe you guys will get some traffic over there through us!

Man, and those are some good prizes too. I wish I had a little more time then I would apply the patience for it. :)
