Hi,

I was just wondering if anyone would be kind enough to do me a simple space texture with stars in for a skybox. I would do it myself but i don't have any programs to do tga files. Of course if you know any freeware for producing tga files that would help too.

Thanks

Check out some of the maps here: dm_tribute and dm_agora both have quite funky space skies (though I think both have a planet in the way). There are also lots of texture websites on the internet which will have sky box textures like this, all you need to do is figure out how to make them into a skybox

i do believe that gimp is a free great image editor created by the free
software organization known as GNU . You can get a windows version of
this originally linux software and create a sky.You do this by using
"noise" and a then tweaking a few other things im not "exactly" sure
how to make a starfield. There are tutorials out there for this.

for this beautiful freeware program

"im pretty darn certain it can do tga files"
