I'm a dreadfully scummy person that hasn't yet released any of his own maps, but has no qualms about releasing a map decompiler called VMEX that lets people steal other people's work.

I've also written Pakrat, a more user-friendly replacement for bspzip, that allows you to embed textures and models into bsp files, and Entspy, an entity viewer/editor for maps.

All of these programs require Java, my current programming language of choice, simply because it's easy to write for (despite certain bad or lacking features). I would reprogram them in C++, but I hate writing Windows code, especially for GUIs.

I'm from the UK but currently live in Tucson, AZ, where it's nice and sunny.

If you want to mail me, send it to rof(at)mellish.org.uk rather than my spam-proofed forum address.
