+ heavy, nicely done theme
+ various effects
+ use of textures
- walk through doors
- too many entities in visible packet list error
Through the use of music, textures, sprites and ambient sound, this map has quite a nicely done, heavy, present day Japanese theme.
There are some nice effects in the map like the fish swimming around and the bubble effects, the (unusual) purple sprite coming out of the eye, those little holographic sprites through out the map, various swinging things, the water fall and the purple sewer water. Not to mention that cool electronic sign thing (forgotten what it said ), but the letters faded in and stuff, nicely done.
I thought though that you could have maybe designed some area's of the map with more detail and distinguished them differently from other parts of the map. That together with the use of minimal ambient sound effects, had me get board of the map pretty quickly once I finished exploring it. And you did have some destroyable things in there, but other than that, the map wasn't very interactive, which also attributed to the fact that I got a little board of it after a while.
And the music was done a bit sloppy. I was running through the map and it started suddenly and it seemed as if you just placed a single ambient sound in the map with the "play everywhere" flag checked. Maybe you could have added little speakers in the map and had the music playing from these speakers.
And the walk through doors... I am aware that in Japan some doors (or walls) that are paper and you can walk through, but the texture you used for the doors and the environment, it seemed a bit inappropriate.
But I liked it, it gets an 8/10 for me because I felt that this map still has room to get better, but everything in there was done quite well.
BTW, you've made alot of maps.. damn!
