Map Description

Small circular map in type of numeral 8. Together crossings, big hole. Hole connect two rooms (Top and bottom). Also else there is two rooms with teleports, port in central part of map.

I thought this map was decent, there is evidence of level design experience in this map (I would say at least a year) but I thought some things could be improved on, such as the rocky geometry in the first screenshot, that said it isn't too bad.

The non rocky (concrete areas) where also decent, the light rays coming in and the vines from the roof where nice but some of the textures where really stretched and they really look out of place next to the less stretched textures in the second shot.

In terms of design, the figure 8 layout is a bit of a tough egg, I can think of some interesting gameplay scenarios but generally the design is too big and simplified, its essentially a circular path with the exception of the whole in the ceiling and the teleporters. Considering the player walking speed, weapons and and stuff like that in Half-life, you probably want smaller spaces with more entrances and exits, more height variation etc

And the weapon placement felt a bit random.

Still though, this map was decent, there wasn't much detracting from the map and its more of a case of what wasn't in there and what should have been a bit different, which is a good thing.

I'm going to give this map a 6/10, just to let you know that isn't a bad score, anything +5 is good, and anything +8 is really good. I am putting you on the same scale as people who make levels professionally I guess. Good job! :)
