Um, a map of the author's house. Hands up if you haven't tried this yourself. I pity the author, I really do. Not only do they have the IQ of a mushroom, but obviously their living conditions are breach of humans rights act. I assume this for several reasons:

<!-- BBCode ulist Start -->
  • <!-- BBCode -->
  • There is no door. The occupant(s) are trapped, and would surely starve to death. Maybe the place was boarded up from the outside to prevent the weirdo who lives here from getting out. Similarly, there are no windows. Lack of natural sunlight is thought to cause depression, and is associated with increased suicide rates in northern countries.
    <!-- BBCode -->
  • There is a barnacle lurking on the ceiling above the stairs. Presumably, this would pose a problem to the occupant(s) whenever they needed to go upstairs for something, e.g. to sit in the corner of one of the pitch black, empty rooms. The same is true for deathmatch games.
    <!-- BBCode -->
  • The sofa is made out of reprocessed toxic waste (see screenshot). I do not advise you sit on this if you want to remain in a healthy state and have children.
    <!-- BBCode -->
  • There is no source of clean water. There is a "bath" in what I presume to be a "bathroom", but the water is in fact a mirage (as the author seemingly hasn't figured out the func_water entity yet). While we're on the bathroom, there are also no lavatory facilities. Perhaps this is why half the walls are a funny shade of yellow/brown?
    <!-- BBCode -->
  • There is no source of food for the occupant(s). They must survive off nutrition gained from the drinks vending machine in the "kitchen", and each other.
    <!-- BBCode -->
  • The various hues of red and blue lighting in this "house" is surely enough to drive any inside insane within minutes. Perhaps another reason this "house" was boarded up was to prevent the all the purple light from seeping out windows and scaring local children.
<!-- BBCode ulist End -->

The only thing going for this level is that the scale is of the right order of magnitude (twice as big as it should be), and that the prefabs' textures are aligned perfectly. To sum up, this level is simply a horrible collection of randomly textured walls and prefabs inserted in such a fashion to resemble a house oft portrayed in people's nightmares in really crappy B-movies. Not to mention the player start that's embedded in a wall. How could the fairly simple task of making your house into a level go so horribly, horribly wrong?

Verdict

If there was ever a reason for a map to contain a bunch of gun toting maniacs killing each other, this would be it.

Design
Thankfully, I've never visited a house even vaguely resembling it.

Gameplay
No thanks

Verdict
If there was ever a reason for a map to contain a bunch of gun toting maniacs killing each other, this would be it.

Pros
...

Design
It doens't look like a house! Dammit
