Looks great i recommend you adding some screenshots when you can. But it sounds great so far. I think you should add a level one trap over a level two trap so if they jump over it they'll get hurt therefore they should avoid the traps or more than likely get killed. And maybe a freeze trap? That'd make avoiding them even harder the perfect thing to add difficulty to your map.
