Map description:
I was late the the HL1 mapping game, and thus the reason for posting up this map after HL2 has been released. This is not a first map attempt, spent a lot of time tweaking this one around. Had to get rid of some stuff because it was slowing down the engine so it's not as pretty as it could be. Just wish I hadn't finished it 3 days before HL2 came out. Good experience otherwise. Reminds me of doom with hl textures. I'm pretty sure you are just sticking light entities in front of light textures when I think what you really want is this: http://www.snarkpit.com/editing.php?page=tutorials&game=HL&id=53
Also if you browse thru the architecture tutorials you can find some that reno did on detailing your architecture as it is pretty flat and simple now. Seems like you have creativity, you just need to work on your application of it.
