After almost a year since I started it, dm_Exhausted has finally made it to release. Most of you have already seen this map through it's development, so there's nothing very new in it.
For the rest of you, take a look and tell me what you think

It looks OK, but to tell you the truth, it still has the same visual flaws that have always been there. The textures are almost all desperately lacking color, style, and realism, which is the real problem.

Yes, I suppose you're right about the textures, but I don't really have any alternatives Cass. I couldn't find a decent set of Brick textures anywhere else, and I lack the skills to make them on my own. Not that that's an excuse, but my only alternative was this set.
Besides, I think the realism is good enough. Bricks look like this, most of the time
Thanks anyway, though. I'll try and find more "colourful, stylish and realistic" textures from next time.

I think the problem is that, that is exactly what bricks look like lol.
However, I think the map (from the screen shots) looks very nice. It's not eye candy mind you, but still looks good. I mean the fact that two of those areas look very simular to actual areas of the same type is good enough, for me anyways.

Ha me to.
Actually, does anybody know how to get past that level of SoF2? I looked it up on the internet, but what the guides said didn't work. The mission says you can't be detected. After you get to the other side of the train, there is a guy who you can knock out in a room, then you go into the next double height room, where there are two more guys who you can kill without being seen. I can do that part, and if I just stand in that room indefinately, I'm fine. However, when I go into any further room, after a few seconds, the alarm goes off and the mission is failed for no apparent reason

I'm pretty happy you guys think it's like SoF2 TBH. One of my all time favourite SP games as far as the levels go. But I seriously had no intention of mimicking that level.
Anyway, thanks for the comments guys.
BTW, Scary_Jeff: Have you tried making sure that all of them are dead? I'm not sure if I remeber right, but after knocking out those guys I think there was some kind of ventilation duct you had to run through to get to the train controllers room. I could be wrong though.

Played your map last night flaggard, its very good. My ownly concern is the teleporters. They both come out next to each other, and although this helps connectivity, It would be nice if there was an easier way to get onto the roof of the station. Oh and I love the dohnut sprite your using for the teleporters, thats just great.

i just noticed a sad fact, many people commented here on this map, but none took the time to comment on it in the map area, soon this thread will be lost, and no new members will know that fragman did an excellent job, cause all these things were lost in obscurity..
take the time guys, thats what the map area comments are for..

I thought these special map threads were somehow linked to the map itself? I tohught that was the whole point of them...

Yep, under the download link. Also changed the comments system ever so slightly for maps.
