Multiplayer:
Want to have trigger-able laser beam that will damage/frag opponents with an enlarged zone defined as trigger_hurt. Is there a parameter/flag to set so that the person activating the laser gets the frag credit for making the kill?
Thanks.
PS: I've noticed in some maps that a player gets frag credit for making a turret gun kill. And in other maps the victim dies, but no one gets the kill.
(New to this forum. But if you need to know, this is for Half-Life classic, multiplayer deathmatch. I'm using Worldcraft 3.3 and Zoner's HL Tools.)

Well... From what I know, the object/trigger needs to be directly manipulated by the player for them to get frag credit. (I guess that was coded so that frags couldn't be given to the wrong player)
Func_tanks/mortars/lasers are "directly" controlled by the player via button, so I guess if the trigger_hurt is directly switched on by a func_button and doesn't go through a trigger_relay/multi_manager it should award frags.
Also, if the laser is a quick burst and does not stay on for long, you could try a few env_explosions with all the effects flagged off (except for the damage of course) once again though, you would have to have them triggered directly to possibily award the activator any frags.
Sorry but thats all I can think of, good luck anyway though.
