This is a discussion topic for the download "Venko's cool prefabs 2" by venko which can be found here

Download description:

Venko's cool prefabs
The second wave

Not all of the prefabs in this pack are exactly mine, some have bugs, SO IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO READ THE DETAILED "READ ME" FILE FIRST !!!

Very cool stuff. Are these compiled from around the internet? They look pretty good for brush-based!

Thanks, but I see You commented without downloaded the arhive first... Have a very detailed "read me" there ;)

"Are these compiled from around the internet?"
No, "The second wave" is mostly (99,9%) mine work from scratch.

"They look pretty good for brush-based!"
I use "Worldcraft" since 1999... This miracles are made thanks to "hlfix" and "func_wall + zoners block light", so no inordinately brush spliting and low r_speed :)

My apologies; I've now read the readme. I'm going off the linked image from the post on the first pack thread, as I do not have Worldcraft installed atm.

Mapping since '99 eh? Do you have other work online with HL or other engines? Google didn't turn up anything... :uncertain:

bites tongue.. hard

Some people refuse to download stuff just to gain access to a read me file.

There is no law against you posting the read me.

The best things in life, aren't things.

I can't put here the "read me", 'cos it's an "exel" table...

Since, you asked :
Back in the times, when the games was made by the fans for the fans, as a teen I bought the HL1 Disk, "Worldcraft" comes with it. I started mapping then, but my ideas was too much for the HL engine, Worldcarft and the comiplers, back then. I'm not the best and famous mapper in the world, but I had some good small maps for Half-Life, Opp. Force, Action HL, CS, TS and so.., when all was WON, not steam... For many important reasons, I didn't upload even a single map back then... Now, I decided to update/fix and finally publish this old stuff (models, prefabs, maps...), but I'm not an active mapper from a looooong time... I don't have much time now, so this process will take some time, so I will upload soon some fixed maps I made century ago...

VIVA OLD SCHOOL GAMES!!!
