  • I used the search function for both forum topic and content, couldn't find anything that answered my query.
I'd like to have a barrier/clip that only works against a single prop_physics based on its name, as a result this item would not be able to pass through the barrier. I would be able to move any other entity including other prop_physics through at any time while still blocking that named entity.

For the record, I already have used filters before for barriers that block based on team, or require certain entities to trigger. For some reason though I cannot get this one to work, perhaps I'm just thinking about it the wrong way?

I'm using a func_brush (The wall that blocks the entity) with a trigger volume for the activation that covers the entire wall and some space outside on both sides.

The trigger brush has a filter_activator_name assigned and that filter itself is matched with the given name of the physics prop, it is set to "Allow entities that match this criteria".

I've given the trigger volume an "Ontouch" input and a "TestActivator" output to the Filter, which has an "OnPass" and OnFail" input that sends an "Enable" and "Disable" output to the func_brush/wall.

I've made brain knots thinking about it, I'm obviously doing it wrong.

Also, are there any side effects to exploit this trigger and allow the prop through?
