I wonder why they did that? Having MSN messenger, Windows messenger, and Windows messaging service all as different things seems a bit confusing, especially when most people need to disable the messaging service so as to not get spammed by it. Many times it has been "How do I stop these popups?" - "disable messenging service" - "but I like messenger!".

The main thing I don't like about WMP9 besides its sluggish assets, is the fact that it makes a list of everything you watch through it and sends it to MS every month.

The thing I don't like about 2000 workstations is that it does the same thing, but with your browser history.
If you have Zone Alarm or another decent firewall, you can disable WM's access to the internet, which would surly solve that problem.

Matt, I know. But most people don't have a firewall period. Not to mention, I found an awesome codec pack that used WMclassic as the interface and it plays every video file I've thrown at it (with the exception of some newly encoded ones)

I don't remember where I got it though, I suppose I could put it up online myself ... but I'll have to think about it (if anyone wants it though, I will.)
