Is it possible to change the appearance and dislpayed colour of the HUD display as I would like to personalise the hud display for my mod. Also, how can I display statistics for when a player sees something i.e.another player to tell them whether they are friend or foe and what their health condition is.If anyone can help,I would be very grateful

Changing the display is possible, definitely.

I haven't coded for HL ever, so I can't be sure, but I think it's very much possible to show whether the person you're pointing at is friend or foe. The details are beyond me though. You might want to ask some coder types who hang around (Desplesda, for one)

I hope you're fairly proficient at working with the SDK. Good Luck

Sniper from the Sven-Coop team would know how to display freindly/enemy monsters.

Asking him may be tricky, because he has a very strict advertistment = 2 day ban policy.

You might need to sign up. I would try sending him a PM, not posting a thread.

The mod he programs for is designed to display a different text color when looking at a freindly or enemy monster.

Be careful ::: He's a pretty... hmmm.... "explosive", I suppose is the right word, when it comes to conversation.

Check the anouncments forum, you should see his name listed next to one of the threads.

Using spirit, set-up a trigger_command to be fired by a trigger_auto.
The command line should be hud_color RRR GGG BBB, where R, G and B are
the levels on red green and blue. You can change the colour in-game,
for example, using a trigger_inout to fire two different hud_color
commands so that the hud turns red when you enter an area where the
player gets hurt (fire, steam, trigger_hurt etc.)
