Ok anyone here know how to get HL2 and Hammer working without steam? The building I live in has screwed up thier NAT settings and so Steam (in its crappy coding ways) doesn't know how to operate through the NAT.

If I can't get this working then I'm not gunna be able to play HL2 or map- a tad annoying really, but it would be my end to HL and so my departure from Snarkpit.

If you can download the lot so it all is ready for "offline mode", then
you should be able to open steam with out connecting to the internet
and run the sdk and HL2. Just right click on the sdk/hl2 in steam and
click properties, and it should tell you whether or not offline mode is
ready.

Yeesh, bring it home tomorrow and update it, and all the little offline mode bugs should be fixed.
