I have many seagulls in my map but one of them is "soaring" above a rocky outcropping. I've used prop_dynamic and set the default animation to "Soar". The problem is the bird just sits in the same spot with a few wobbles (the "Soar" animation). So I've set up a path for it to follow using a series of path_tracks with the last referencing back to the first to loop it but the bird won't follow the path.

If you want to see the bird in "action" the map is available here: http://www.mrated.com/photos/thecave/dm_The_Cave.zip

A screenshot showing the bird is here (top right): http://www.mrated.com/photos/thecave/dm_the_cave0003%20(800x640).jpg

Thanks in advance for any help!

Parent it to an invisible func_tracktrain entity, that's how I get my entities to move around.

Thanks Leperous. After making sure I setup the tracktrain entity in a brush I've made it the seagull's parent... works like a charm!

the only problem with steam updating things every week is it doesent give the developers an incentive to playtest thier work, so we do it for them
