Hello fellow gamers

One of my all time fav games is Stonekeep. However I [edit] have been trying to [/edit] run it in Windows XP and haven't been succesful. I haven't played it almost 10 years but would love to give it a go again.

I have already tried running it through Windows, multiple ways, including normal installation, DOSBox DOS emulator, and other ways, even editing some config files.

ANyway, if anyone has had success running DOS games in a particular fashion let me know! Also, has anyone here heard of or played it?

Thanks dudes (and dudettes)

I think one of the only ways you'd be able to play it is to boot into a DOS mode (be it through a start up disc or whatever).

Then I'm pretty sure it'd run. (Same proabably goes with Doom and Daggerfall/Arena)

Install the game, if you can. Select all the files, goto "file" >
"propertys", select the "campatability" tab, and select the version of
windows that you'd like the run the program in. Then just launch the
exe.

That actually doesn't work on most Dos games.

I think i know how to get it to work

1) Install Dosbox if you haven't got it installed already.

2) Download D-fend http://members.home.nl/mabus/ install that.

3) Run D-fend if it doesn't ask you for the Dosbox directory at startup close it and run it again.

4) Click the add profile button on the toolbar (top left)

5) Add a profile name fill in the game exe , setup exe.. and all the other pages

6) Try run it.. i don't have the game so i don't know if this is gonna work :sailor:

Shut down Windows before starting your game. This works every single time. If there's no option to shut down without restarting or turning off your PC, blame Microsoft and get DosBox.

What version of DosBox did you try it with? The latest version fully supports StoneKeep - I just checked.
