Hey everyone,

I'm new to The Snark Pit but not to mapping. I wanted to know how
you usually conduct beta testing around here. I have a single
player set I've been working on called Das Roboss and it is just about
ready for testing. I'm used to conducting closed betas with a small group but it looks to
me like I'm supposed to go ahead and upload my stuff and let you guys
test it whenever.

I'm a little nervous about posting anything though. I was
prompted several times about searching for my question throughout the
site. But I've found no site faq and I would really just like to
ask a person. I hope I'm not breaking the rules and if I am I'm
sorry.

Thanks!

No worries, this forum is actually for specific editing problems (eg non working light entity, or something).

If you want testing and feedback, check out the "Maps" forum - although
be aware most of our help on there is purely from a design view, but
it's all good information

the thing that makes you search is our (futile) attempt to stem repeat
questions such as "weaponstrip in CS source" being posted 10 times a
week

FAQ? Bottom of every page  about : FAQ : files etc

Thank you. I see the faq now. This site is a little
difficult to navigate if you're not familiar with it. I'm a
wavelength guy actually. It was my favorite editing site back
in.... what 98? Anyway the new WL site is awesome but there's not
enough people there to keep things moving... so I'm here.

I will move my Das Roboss discussion to the maps forum. Thanks again.
