This is my first map and i belive i have in countered a weird glitch in my map. Any way it started when my func_door rotating door comes down from the ceiling(its designed to kill players on the way down) winch is triggered by a switch(it has damage activates on) any way its at the top of a room with a pile of barrels in it(exposive and non exposive) it appears that the glitch happens when a non exposive barrel gets traped against the wall with the trap and causes a text mesage to appear where the barrel is (not in the menu in the game) "Vphysics penetration error" (I figure its cause its in a wall). this is not the bad part i can live with that, the thing is it causes a glitch where all my prop_physics/multiplayer start hopping around on the floor like there mexican jumping beans, until the floor traps them like quick sand and sucks them trough (they dont fall straight through they are sort of stuck) and then generating more "Vphysic penetration error". Is this error in some way prevenable, settings related or is all my fault and I should use the right entity to kill somebody?

edit: now that i look at it more im going to discribe the actions as more like bunnies on quick sand, also the sand does not suck them in moderate downward force does(bunnies jumping too hard)

ok, here's your problem...

the func_door_rotating was never designed to be used with physics
entities in that way. Try this, make your door out of a
func_physbox, and put two (or more) phys_hinges on it (look for a
tutorial, there are plenty on how to do this).

Vphysics penetraition is when a physics entity is going inside
another. This causes the "jumping" because Halflife 2 is confused
about where it should be.

Hope this helps.

You only need one phys_hinge for a door, you should only rarely need more than one on the same object.
