if you make custome textures for hl2 maps or any other source game do the textures need to be shipped with the map bsp or are any custome objects automattically compiled into the bsp

First off, this sort of problem should be in the HL2 editing forum.
Secondly, no the textures are not put into the .bsp, when you send someone the file, zip up the .bsp with all the textures, and then they should be able to put the files where they need to to properly run the game.

also is anyone elses hammer very unstable
my hammer constantly crashes. exspecially if im listening to music at the same time

I heard something about thgis before, if you're running WinAmp, that might be the problem, try running a different music program or listen to the radio instead :smile:

i use the original windows media player 6.1
it seems like a guarantee that it will crash when music is playing
i dont have any higher versions of wmp installed nor do i have winamp i personally dont like them
