I cannot change my configuration from cs to hl2dm

<!-- ZoneLabs Popup Blocking Insertion -->I am trying to make a camera setup in my map for the first time. So I was following the tutorials and it said this; "First of all, we need three entities: a point_camera (point based), an info_camera_link (point based) and a func_wall (brush based)."

I do not have point_camera, in the Objects dropdown menu for enitities, I discovered this is because the game configuration is set to CounterStrike, even though i have been building for hl2dm and been running my map just fine anyway. So i went to change my game configuraion to hl2dm and a window comes up and says "changes wont take effect unitl you restart hammer" after which then changes everything back to the cs settings, and still hasnt changed back after i restart! its really annoying me, i was wondering if anybody had any thoughts or suggestions?

in the SDK theres a little drop down menu at the buttom, set that to hl2:DM and it should work, and make sure HL2:DM is updated

that has always been set to hl2dm, and i am fully updated. you can see why im a bit frustrated :sad: could there be anything else?<!-- ZoneLabs Popup Blocking Insertion -->

You should load Hammer from the Source SDK window (to start with, at least) rather than a direct shortcut, and select the game you want to edit from the options given under the "current game" box (so basically you shouldn't have to mess around with Hammer configurations, that's what the SDK menu is there for!)
