For about 2 weeks I searched for a tutorial to skin for Doom 3 but gave up. I decided the next best thing was to skin for HL2 but again i could not find a tutorial. I just found this section today, and I was very excited that i might finally find my answer here.
Can anyone here tell me or give me a link to a tutorial? I just want to learn how to skin for Doom 3 or Half Life 2. If you have links to both, both would greatly be appreciated.
Thanks

Well... i think skinning for any game is taking the texture for
something and either changing it or replacing it with your own...

In HL2, you need to export the vtf's from the pak and then convert them
to a editable fromat. I think theres a tut somewhere on HL2world ot
whatever its called.

Yes, you could, but youd have to find it yourself. Search google for "vtf export Half-Life 2" or something.
