mkah. Mapping in radiant. For half life one. Everything is going along seamlessly until my last build. Which throws up the following error from the compile log:

Error: Missing '[' in texturedef (U)

After a bit of googling, I find it is some crazey error with the texturing. Fine. No idea why, but fine. I load the .map up with hammer, all the brushes have colors, no textures. Check for problems. Every brush has a 'texture is perpendicular to face', or some s**t like that, the error is irrelivent. Anyway, a 'fix all', fixes, all of these supposed errors. The map views fine in hammer now.

Great, so my .map should be fine. I try loading it up in radiant, and it just crashes.

After a ridiculous amount of fiddeling, I think the following is true.:

radiant can make maps, and hammer can open them, hammer can make maps, but radiant cant open anything SAVED in hammer.

Super. The thing is, I hate hammer with a passion, mapping is twice as fast in radiant. Can I fix these rather annoying errors from with radiant prehaps?
Checkout my forum?

It doesnt matter how fast you map...Its how your maps turn out...

Im not sure how to work this out. Maybe you could google for file converters?
They're may be a solution out there. Or e-mail who ever made radiant and ask for a possible solution. That person may not how to convert you files from one editor to the other
And what the F***K are you staring at!?
