After cleaning up my desktop from the dense colaboration of junk-icons,
I felt like finding some kind of free games on the net. So me
first thought was to try googling "free space mmo", and what do I
get; my first link turned up this incredible msn gameing zone
abandonware.
http://www.freeallegiance.org/
It's a game developed by MSNZone, but they never met their deadline for
a finished product. It was released as an extremly buggy
pay-per-play game, but eventually abandone due to the obscene amounts
of bugs that kept poppong up. Eventually they headed to the
requests of a group of die hard alliegence fans and gave them the
entire source code so that they may work out the bugs and distribute at
their own will. 4 years later, and theproducts been fixed and up
and running on their own private set of servers.
Game details:
--Simple space game that can host up to 200 players, but most only hold 100.
--Players fly around in spaceships, while comanders play a la rts.
I wish I had some screens, but they only randomly displayer their screens on the start page, and theirs no other source.
Off note, by now, from all of the space posts, you can really
tell I'm a big fan of the space "Ship" genre. Might've played
Empire Earth, had it not canceled 1 month before my 18th
birthday. (couldn't get a credit card till then)
You know, I've actually got nothing to say
