See those beautiful sky boxes in Lost Coast and cs_militia? They are tres sexy...

Point is I can't figure out how to make them! I couldn't find anything
on the net, ok that's a lie, I found one thing, but it wasn't much
help. I was wondering if anyone on here might know how to...I already
have a 3D skybox and the texture from Lost Coast (just as a test) and
my light_environment has values for both BrightnessHDR and AmbientHDR.
The skybox does display properly, but without any of that shiny
goodness you see on the other maps...I'm at a lost here folks.

Thanks in advance!

Might try reading this site on HDR Lighting Basics:

That's the site I used before...but I was unsuccessful.

Upon further investigation I found some weird error in the console once the map was loaded...

"Attempted to create unknown entity type env_tonemap_controller!

Can't init env_tonemap_controller"

I followed the little example that site gave, does anyone know what this error means and is it the problem?

Are you tring to create a HDR skybox for HL2DM or HL2SP...because currently only Counter-Strke and Day Of Defeat fully support HDR. Support for HL2SP and HL2DM will be added in a future update

...are you serious?

Well I guess that answers my question...I figured they wouldn't put the option of HDR if it didn't totally support it.

Thanks!
