Check some pictures of my next map. It is set in a city area. The screens look nice, although the theme is very classic HL2. Especially the horse statue brings deja-vus. The first screen shows that the transition between the level geometry and the skybox is rather harsh. Try building a simple 3D skybox or make the streets a little longer after the barriers - or make them a bit higher... dm_overwatch is doing this very elegantly for example.
