I'm trying to create a choreographed scene, but I can't get it work. I'm using the logic_choreographed_scene entity and it just won't work. I even tried compiling sources sdk example sdkfaceposser.vmt and it wouldn't even work!! Here's something interesting though: It DOES work if I compile it within the halflife 2 mod and then run it in the half life 2 game. It hates my mod. Any ideas?

It seems like a pretty general description; more would be needed in order to diagnose it any further, but here are my immediate thoughts:

I've done plenty of Choreographed scenes in Half-Life 2, but not separate mods, so their may be something I'm overlooking. Is this mod based off of the original Half-Life 2 engine? or does it work off the latest version of the engine (say EP:1?) Perhaps someone could clarify: I suppose all user created mods at this time, are automatically applied with the latest engine technologies, no?

Have you updated your SourceSDK? Perhaps it is a folder structure issue. If your choreographed scene in FacePoser is looking for models and sounds that are in the Half-Life 2 folder structure, it will not function properly. You must supply all those models (including characters) that your choreographed scene refers to and copy them into your mod's directory. Try making a simple test scene that simply plays a sound from a model with the appropriate name, and if both the sound and model are located within your mod's folder structure, everything should come together just fine...Hopefully.
