I thought there was a Crysis post already, but I cant seem to find it. I just installed the demo and have been playing it for an hour or so. (almost 1800mb download btw). The Gameplay is almost to the "T" like Far Cry. Linear, but with several options as to how to achieve your goal. Graphically, I'm gonna say Damn, and double damn. I'll need to wait a year and then mortgage the farm to get the hardware I need to run this puppy at full tilt. Still though, there's something to be said for mowing down palm trees as far as the eye can see. This is a sweet looking game. I wish I could utilize the suit options more as well.
I run a pretty meaty rig,
Gigabyte GA-965P-DQ6 MoBo
Intel C2Duo E6700
2 gigs PC 800 DDR2 ram
ATI X1900XTX Graphics card
and the best I can manage is medium settings almost all across the board. I plan on upgrading early next year to Vista, (providing MS hands out a service pack worth a damn), and getting a DX10 Graphics card. I can only hope it makes a difference visually and gameplay wise, as I often re-load older games after an upgrade and set them to their maximum potential to see what I missed the first time. All in all though this demo gets a 9 in my book.
