I started my map making "career" in 1999 with a awful looking counter-strike map. I was so ashamed of it that I haven't released any of my later creations to the public although I've been learning new methods and making new maps during all these years.

According to Orpheus I'm a: "spunky little f**k for a 799 membership number"

I ask only one thing from you. If you should download any of my maps and you happen to be a Snarkpit member then please leave a comment and rate the map. I need to know what things I'm doing right and wrong to evolve into a better mapper. Thank you.

The army tour is finally over and I'm currently studying computer engineering at Mikkeli Polytechnic in Finland.

PX_bridges is: A towering Research facility surrounded by mountains. There's some crucial scientific data about the aliens stored into the mainframe and the mission is to find the mainframe and get a memory module to the top floor where dust off is waiting for our little heroes. The map is quite linear so replayability might prove to be a problem.

This will be my very first officially released map. Be kind to it ;). I've been making it for three months now and it's soon ready.

*edit: I accidentally deleted the third image... Fixed now.
*Update: It'll be released as soon as the Paroxysm team gives a GO!
*Update: Paroxysm is no longer in developement. But here's the map.

Time to release the second map I've done. It was originally done in spring of 2001. but I did some fixes to it. I'm only uploading this so people would see how much I've improved since the days of past.

The map is situated into a slum and it plays quite quickly. There are a number of easter eggs and other weird stuff in there. It was meant to be a fun map for the LANs and it has done it's job quite well on the few occasions. But download it and see it for yourself.

*UPDATE: Pictures added.

From the moment onward I first saw a rain tutorial for Half-Life I've wanted to create a map, which would utilize this effect. The very first rain tutorial I read used an env_beam entity to create the rain. The method was slow to implement and very hard on the entity budget. Later on I came across a different kind of rain tutorial which used func_conveyors instead of env_beams. Three years have passed since I first read that tutorial and now I've finally begun to make that Half-Life map with rain in it... Due to the fact that I'm currently serving in finnish army it might take a while for me to finish this map, but all in all I'm determined to get it done.

Update: new pictures.
