I... used to create maps. $#!@ happens, and plans change, after a personal tragedy I had to take a step back and reevaluate what I was doing;

Long story short I find myself with a renewed appreciation of the value of video games in human culture. So, after enrolling in a game design course (and promptly dropping out,) delving into programming, falling into a downward spiral of alcoholic depression and coming out the other side with fewer friends and the resolve to aspire to better habits and acquaintances, I have some old projects I'm planning to thaw out: namely Vestige(bomb defusal for CS:S), Buried (hostage rescue), and Ozone (for TF2 payload race), probably in that order. I am also slowly putting together a prototype for an android game, but that's all rather hush hush at the current state of development.
I've learned there is a goldmine in the synergy afforded by having multiple interrelated things to work on, and that almost nothing kills ambition faster than self-doubt or taking oneself too seriously. I am truly glad to see the snarkpit is still a thriving hub of talented artisans, and I'm looking forward to rejoining the HL editing community in earnest.
So... uh, excelsior! LOL
