Map Description

Yet another Kill Box remake. I started it before finding out many others were being released. After seeing the others and how they differed from the original, I decided to release mine feeling it was the closest to the original.

Not for everyone, but for those who loved the original kill box, this should bring back that same fragfest feeling.

WTF?

How you intepret this is up to you, and who i am directing this comment toward is obvious. Take your box of crappiness elsewhere, i dont care if some fools think they can have fun in a giant box of idiocy.

We are not buying it, you claim this is a remake, HA, this thing was never MADE in the first placed, it was simply, produced by some simple commands known to the most newbish of nOObs, there is no skill or artistic talent in this or the original, oh and as for most downloaded and played? There are 9 billion people in the world, only a handfull of whch have braincells.

Take your wares elswhere we do not wish to see any more boxes within boxes.

Now that thats out of the way, good luck in the contest, i wont be entering sadly, as im not 18, but i hope to god that noone even thinks of entering something as godawful as this.

Umm why couldnt you make a REGULAR dm map and then have a DUELING arena away from it " this is my idea back off = P"

ok i wasted my time and tried it
ALSO " there is a thing called strategy rhino its an additive to the game that keeps it from being sensless and boring violence its what makes 2fort one of the best "small yet has many different routes" yours has no routes therefor possibilties are quite limited and gets boring much quicker. The reason why it stays is for people who are younger and have no knowledge of the so called skill and strategy . Make a strategical map and release it because all of us can make a killbox for "ourselves" and do not need one of yours.

I don't know why you are bothering to defend killbox, but maybe if you spent a fraction of the effort it takes you to type all that out and instead put it in your maps you might create something worth downloading.

Some of you people really need to pay attention and maybe, just maybe, read the .txt file for once.

[Time for the numbered list...]

1. Yes, it IS a B..O..X.. A BIIIIGGGGG, FRIGGGGGIN, BAAAWWWWWXX. That's why it's called killBOX. (geez, geniuses here)

2. This is a remake of the original killbox. (Some of you need to look up "remake".) It's mean't to look and play like the original killbox with a few minor changes and the obvious weapon differences. This was NEVER intended to be unique and original. Any of you actually play the original or are you completely ignorant.

3. Yes, I could have spent more time on it making it more "artistically" appealing, but I didn't because...1) I wanted it to be just like the original, with some minor changes, and 2) I wanted to work on my original, Valve mapping contest entry. There's only so much time, you know.

4. I released it because...there are a lot of people who enjoy playing this sort of map. (I know you'd like to send them all to an internment camp, but that's what it's like living in a free country.) Unfortunately, for most of you, maps don't have to go through a review board that imposes their definition of "releaseable material". Or maybe that's a fortunate thing because maybe some of your works wouldn't pass muster either.

5. I don't give a crap if you don't like killbox. (It's not my design, so really, most of your criticisms don't bother me. REALLY.) If you don't like it, don't play it, but if you don't play it, don't review it. mmmkay!? You wouldn't want anyone reviewing your map without actually playing it.

Now, if I may, let me address a few people specifically...

pepper...I never talk anyone out of expressing their own free will.

Omegaslayer...Who died and made you Art Tzar? It's a good thing the Snarkpit has you to tell everyone what art is. When Castro dies it looks like you'll have a country to run. Consider this dealing with it. Personally, I think you're the person that needs to "deal".

Rhino I have not played your map. IF you say it is fun then that is most important. I am sure you have the ability to make somethink visually more agreamble to the public, without negatively affecting gameplay. But its your map so your call.

Just a hollowed-out brush. How long did you spent on it? I assume about 10 mintues. Taking my dog out for a walk takes even longer.

It's hl2, loads of cool new mapping features --- and we get a fcking kill box, great.
