Map Description

The map is a tactical teamplay ball game with lots of ramps and halfpipes to have fun with the ball.

the map status of space gravball arena is 99.9% so i will release it as soon as possible.

You probebly need lots of costum textures then. Whats the maximum score?

It reminds me a game called speed ball 2:Brutal Deluxe. Maybe it's they are both futuristic ball games. Maybe speed ball will give you ideas for your map, try it. The keys are A(down) Q(up) O(left) P(right) and space(slide/throw/punch). It's confusing in the start but when you get used to it it's really fun

The Scoreboard uses switchable textures and 2 math counters per digit pair mathcounter1 fires at 1 and swiches a digit(1) mathcounter 2 fires on 10 and switches a digit (10).....

at the moment i do not share my tex for this map....... after the map is released and installed on your pc you have the textures at hand

I just want the code on the score board so I can use it in my Laser tag maps. =)

The map is delayed for 2 weeks.......... i'm doing AUTOCAD education for 5 days a week........... so F*cking time consuming....... but at the end its worth the education ......... working from home :razz: my own boss my own work time my own breaks :wink:

Hehe maybe i should make an tutorial map :smile: its quite simple actualy :smile: if there's enough intrest in these kind of tutorials i could consider in aking a tutorial :wink:

Its more like a pile math counters,some filters,game_scores...

the fair play logic system looks at who touched the ball blue/red by example if the rebels get the ball it will get red with the help of 2 Trigger multile's conected to the ball :wink: if the ball is red it ads 1 point to a math counter if the red all goes in the blue goal the math counter gets another 1 so the total value is 2 then the multiple scorefilter of the combine gets activated a math counter counts to 1 (1player) in the filter then it ads the score..... still not 100% fair but it works great now also with more players :wink: the system is now fair for 99.9% but getting the kill/death scores to the scoreboard will be an hard task :smile: the shape of the ball is also changed now from sphere to Icosahedron for more info on the shape visit this site http://mathworld.wolfram.com/Icosahedron.html the benefits of this shape are that it rolls much better :smile: so better ball controll and better game play :biggrin:

the map will come with an installer because i still havent found a solution to let apear the ball texture apear on the ball using pakrat....... (all other custom textures do work with pakrat)
so i need to install the ball+balltextures into the hl2dm dir....

Yesterday i implanted the "referee" system in my map now its 100% corect if a player drops the ball in the goal :wink:
Referee system checks which team scores:
was the ball touched by right team yes/no 1/0
is it the right goal yes/no 1/0
these values are monitored by 1 math counter
if both values are 1 we get 2 :razz: thats the point when the math counters fires on the teamscorefilter if 1 client is detected it adds 1 point to the corect team

i need a extra digit :wink: so i can display the global teamscore on the score board :smile:
so we can display 000 to 999 :smile:

hehe , it's called gmod

use the heliball and make it magnetic

or you can use boards on the car , and make THEM magnetic.. and drive around XP .. good fun

lastly you can make it so that you only pick up dynamite and then have the dynamite explode after a certain amount of time making a speed pickup mode >:D
