If anyone can, I need to get in contact with the guys that made the
ns_stargate maps. I am doing a group project in college, and we decided
to make a Stargate Style mod for Half Life. The problem is, I have only
mediocre mapping skills and need some rather serious help in figuring
out the multimanagers and entities required to make the stargate work
(especially the iris), how to get the scaling right, and some good
views of the alien start of the stargate area as I have very limited
screencaps of the show that are actually helpful. The stargate command
is relatively easy... but any one alien world that is inside is hard a
sin.

I also need to get permission to use and edit the textures that were used as I have no skill whatsoever in making textures.

I made an iris door in this map. Works nicely but lots of work to get it right.

its just a bunch of rotating doors right? wasnt there a tutorial that showed how to do this really easily?

...i mean, if the iris door had 12 sections, then you'd take 360 degrees and divide it by that (so 30 degrees). Hence, make a 12-sided circle, cut it into 12 triangles, make each a rotating door with the appropriate anchor, and copy the info for each, adding 30 to the degrees each time.

Or am i way off?
