Hey folks,
Haven't been on the forums in ages since I pretty much gave up mapping in favour of some vague attempt at web design, so I'm afraid this is very cheeky of me, but I was wondering if you guys could give me your opinions on a website concept I'm working on.
To briefly summarise, I am currently a law student studying in the UK. Although there are no doubt several student forums, there is no one comprehensive site or helping law students across the country (i.e. not just within a single university) with not just law modules, but the complex and sometimes intimidating process of applying for vacation placements, training contracts etc.
In the new age of wikis and social networks, this seems slightly daft, so my aim is to build something which fills the gap (hopefully).
Starting as a filter for law news and expanding to student discussions etc, the tentatively-named
LawPath should be run by students for students, and provide a site where they can "collectively panic".
That's the plan anyway.
So, I know it's extremely cheeky of me, but I would really appreciate any thoughts or feedback on this concept. I came back to SnarkPit to ask this because I remembered how helpful you folks are on constructive comments, so please fire away. This is quite a niche, and success is only when the site has become the standard for law students and is in a format that can be transfered to other subjects and disciplines, so I need all the help I can get. The temporary blog can be found
here.
Many thanks in advance
