can not make hl2 sp maps?

please help me, everytime i run a map, the console says the mode or whatever is dm... i want to map for singleplayer, since i can't use models like the citizen suitcase in dm (because i tried the suitcase and many other models but they don't appear in-game, and no, it's not and error, the model DOES exist.)

plz help me, i want to map for sp, not mp. (i also can't find any options for singleplayer or multi-player anywere. and YES, i AM using the source hammer! if i weren't using it, i wouldn't be able to run it in the first place!!)

In the Source SDK Window at the bottom there's a drop down box where you choose the game you're mapping for. Make sure it's marked "Half-Life 2" Or either of the Episodes.

yep, it's half life 2 allright. i don't think it wold be a good idea to try creating episode 1 or 2 maps for hl2 though :razz:
