personally, i think pictures that are at least this well done, should never be in writing paper, even when doodling.
i took art, back in jr. high (yeah guys stone and chisel in hand  ) and i have a small eye for it.
this is good stuff, and for the record, its cool to have shirt sleeves of different lengths, concentrate on the goal you have, the little things will only add to it, shirt sleeves and all
BTW 300+k is totall unacceptable, there have been just to many proven cases where 100k will suffice. get XAT

                        Wow. Thanks Orph.
I was just surprised I actually got it to look like Homer.
Thanks for the support  !
[EDIT]
The thread picture is like 18k, but I didn't realize the 'full' size was 345k. Thanks for the advice, but I've got good-old photoshop.
The problem has been corrected for you 56k-ers, it's now 80k

Get yourself a pad of cartridge paper (should be cheap somewhere, I'd even wager Wal-Mart have a line in cheapo art supplies!), some pencils (a few 2B's) and a putty eraser
Try to be more free with yourself, dont draw thick solid lines, feel and follow the curves! Sketch out layouts, or outlines! You can go over the final lines in drawing pens/darker pencil later, then simply remove your sketch lines with a putty eraser
Give it a go, it's cheap, relaxing and rewarding

                        Thanks for the advice Gwil.
But, I didn't exactly have a full set of art supplies at my command when I was drawing on my notes (I was in physics when I drew it, thus the note-book paper). The closes Wal-Mart is like 50 miles away. . .I'd rather not go there lol. The way Orph referred to the drawing was correct, it is just a 'doodle'.
Also, I did use a 2B pencil, it just wasn't sharp, it seems PCC doesn't believe in pencil sharpeners.
Anyway, the reason why I made the tread was to give suggestions to the way I'm drawing home, not really with what. (Such as do you think the nose is lines up properly with the mouth from this communities massive amount of Simpson consumption.) Just stuff like that., the actual quality of the drawing/scan can be changed later.
Anyway, thanks for the input so far.

Hey, cool drawing ya have there! It really looks like Homer. I'm not a drawing pro or so, so I don't have any advice to give you. I can only say "nice drawing".

I can't see much to improve on the proportions and positioning in the picture. I haven't got any Simpsons stuff handy, but maybe the arm should be a tad londer, and also the chain could do with some more detail. It looks too soft and flimsy, you probably want to straighten the lines and make the wall attachment bigger to emphasize it. I didn't notice the chain at first. Other than that it's a good picture, you should try tracing it in PS/PSP or something and colouring it.

This crazy art forum idea has turned out pretty good hasn't it  I didn't expect as many or as good drawings as we are getting.
