Try making the walls not so bland. Make add things to them, make them more architecual

Pillars, alcoves, arches, support beams, etc... Use your imagination, and look at other maps, concept art, or reference pictures for ideas.

You should read renos hl1 architecture tutorials, it's all verry bland, i'm sure you can come up with some nice things if you put your mind to it :)
