How can I make a blackboard-like 'texture' (well, table background for the intraweb), that's black and has years of chalky deposits on it and looks very.. boardish?

Don't know if you intend making it from scratch, but if you're going to use one as a base, this one is chalky and free of text except some gibberish down the bottom. Doesn't have a frame either.

On closer inspection, there's a few noticeable lines on brasso's one. :smile:

gimme a break guys....i just wanted an idea as to what he needed....to my recolection (and its a stretch) chalkboards used to be in many different forms....and i was NOT a priveledged child... :lol: i just whipped that thing together in about 5 minutes to get an idea...a starting point.. :razz:

well since you are an utter failure at blackboards, why not listen to my suggestion and have a cork bord instead :wink:

seriously doc, i never thought you needed a break, you are pretty much among our top texture artists here.
