Hi all,

I am pleased to announce my newest mapping competition called GravityGunVille.

I have created a special page that explains the theme and all the rules:
http://www.planetphillip.com/projects/gravitygunville/

This competition will be judged by three professional level designers, so not only do you have a chance to win $100 but you'll also get your map briefly critiqued by people who know what they are talking about!

If you have any questions, please post here and I will do my best to answer them.

Thanks and good luck!

Man, I'd really like to participate in this. Plays Research and Development Mod again for inspiration

Agh, I need to do a mapping project before grad school starts, this may be my lucky break. It's been a while though, but I gotta keep it up. So since it's in EP2, something I'm familiar with, I might try this one out.

Do you recommend playing any other mods or levels for HL2:# for inspiration?

Well, I am a fan of Miggas work: http://www.planetphillip.com/?s=miigga

He makes detailed but fairly short maps, which would be ideal for this kind of 50 day competition.

That's about the only inspiration I can offer, sorry.
