hes referring to some old tfc map in which you have scouts & hw guys & various exits to which each loads a different map.

As far as I can remember the text much like in ns were floating sprites.

Ah, are you saying this:
You need to know how to setup a sequence in which you destroy a certain thing to vote for a certain map?
And im expecting this is for TFC. Well i cant help there

Err, typically you don't use maps to vote for other maps. This might just be me misunderstanding, but that's the impression that I got.

yeah, there was a map with various exits you could change to popular maps using lots of external code and somesuch.

I honestly cant remember what it was exactly. A good idea but a bit useless imo.

Concentrate on actuall maps rather than maps designed only to vote for others imo.

Wow, these posts pop up fast. There were two between my last reply and what it was responding too. Anyway, I'd suggest you just put the map names onto textures and then make signs or something with those textures. The program you will need for this is Wally.

What I'd do is make a "portal" type thing. Have the name of the map on the ground, put a rectangle that is the size of the player on the ground with a liquid texture. Put a trim around it to make it look nice, then have a trigger_changelevel brush over the texture. So when they walk into it, makes it seem like a portal.

I think the server needs to be running a modified version of TFC to do that too...

Nah, it's pretty easy todo. No need for a modified version.

lol, true.

Why would you want to create a map, to go to a map?

You`d basically be leaving a map, to go to a map, to go to a map.

VERY intelligent.

And whats stopping a n00b from spamming a map before anyone else can get to it?
