I have a problem with making css maps in hammer.
i've set all the directories right and changed the game data file to css but i still get the textetures for hl2, and when i run the map in css some of these textetures dont work, the skybox is the biggest problem..

sorry for my bad writing..

well you must have something set wrong. THis might seem obvious but in sdk do you have the drop down box set to cs:source

yea, with the bots I tried to map for CS and the game will not allow me
to view CS textures or entities. I have manually reconfigured Hammer
with no luck.

hammer wants to find the gameinfo.txt in the HL2DM directory no matter what I do.

this is ok as the gameinfo.txt is the same, but it makes me feel that hammer will only look at HL2 textures and entities.

I am now reinstalling the source SDK in hopes that this will fix it.

I have tried to refresh and this was my last option.

If hammer is looking for the gameinfo text file in the HL2mp directory, then you're in editing mode for HL2mp.

Something you need to remember to do is open up the gameinfo.txt
example the sdk comes with and change the applaunch number to CS:S
number (don't remember at the moment, I think it's 211) and I believe
change the directory to cstrike.

Also, if you run hammer from the source sdk window, all of this should already be taken care of.

If you want, I'll paste mine in here (since every time this conversation
comes up the people who're trying to get it to work don't believe me).
