The entire hand including the fingers and thumb is about the size of your face.

It's pretty easy to draw hands because you don't really have to worry about proportions.

I'm going to do a tutorial this week on drawing hands and then later on I'll do another one on human proportions. I like to let other people in on the stuff I learn.

i made a giant stone hand in hl1 , but it got deleted = / should have created a
screenshot of it and ftp'd it somewhere, took forever to get it
to work "in game". Sorry about the off topicness of it all

I'd say study some anatomy books of hands or humans, always damn useful when you wanna draw people.
