I'm editing a few projects at the moment including a php-admin thinger, a general purpose unix server, and the like. At the moment none of my project's have decent memorable names - I've named a sql database admin thinger - ' Iridium ' after a cool sounding element. But that's just essentially pretty poor. I named another project after some greek god, but then again that's still pretty poor.
What I'm asking is if anyone has a good idea for naming things, like a using a list of something, or whatever. Any thought's or suggestions would be appreciated, I've got about 8 projects without decent names.

Surely having EIGHT projects means they not only have no decent name, but more like "no decent input" ?
I'd scale down your interests massively if you want to seriously progress anywhere with your projects.
As for names, I just go with themes - eg, some IRC bots I established
were named gnome, Nautilus, XFree, Fjear, Blackbox all related to open
source/linux in some way..
The others I called Tossbot, Boozer, Whore Bot, On-Dope etc...
Just be imaginative, or dont name them at all and be worried about the actual content

Don't forget recursive acronyms! e.g. PHP, GNU, LAME
Ancient greek/roman Titans also have some cool names. Try Typhon or Hyperion (which is also the name of an excellent series of books...)
