id like to send a video of a new map that i have created to a friend that doesn't have hl2.....like a windows media player file....does anyone know how????thanks

You could use Fraps ( http://www.fraps.com/ ) to record a video. I think
you're limited to record 30 seconds a time in the shareware version.
Also useful for taking screenshots and viewing fps in games.
