Alright. I have this really weird lighting problem. Every time I go through a doorway, the lights either go out, fade, or whatever. I have provided two download links to in-game videos so you can see my problem first-hand to make it more clear what the deal is. both videos are the exact same thing except one is a lot higher quality so it is easier to see what is going on. Here they are:

Bad lighting video: Hi-Res (7 megs)

Bad lighting video: Lo-Res (800 kb)

Also you will see that my sprite flickers, too. I tried adding env_cubemap but it just makes the glass in my map have a purple checkermarks all over them. This seems to happen when I go through my 'doorways'......

i have had this problem too, usually it was because of textures, thats all i can say.

Are those textures you are using intended for models or props, if so use a different texture, one without \model\texturename as you cannot use them on normal world brushes as they us a different lighting model.

You my friend, are a saviour...which is pathetic because I never woulda thought my answer would come from a Snark Member whose 'join number' was higher than 2000...... :smile:

As a rule of thumb, if you have lighting errors check for model in the texture name. This question comes up a lot and I think it should be addressed in a sticky.
