I got my dynamic lights parented to this floodlight model, and the
lighting will only show up on enities. Nothing else, not even walls,
and it dosent show the light rays either nor does it hurt your eye to
look into the light becuase theres nothing to look at

Hi there, are you sure your point_spotlight entity is pointed down (or
whatever way you wish the beam to point). This can be determined easily
by making sure the "red line" in the 3d view in hammer is pointing in
the way you want it to.

Well the "glow" you're talking about is a seperate entitiy that you have to put in (env_spotlight or something as such. But I don't really remember)

As for your other issue ... I don't know. But chances are there isn't a problem and you may have to mess with the settings of the light.

if you have used light_dynamic then thats why, the light_dynamic entity only shows up on models (as far as i know).

use a point_spotlight instead.
