Ok, i own a server for op4, but its in alabama.....yes alabama. Its on my friends computer because my firewall at my campus wont let me host, but his will. The problem is, everytime we want to play eachother he has to dissconnect our server (not good for bussness). I know this topic is around a lot on the web, but everything we have tried doesnt seem to work. I also know it has to do with changing the paramiters of a shortcut...but whats the short cut too? Is it HL.exe or is it a short cut to the short cut...i just dont know. I anyone has the port numbers for op4 or HL please let me know... thanks a bunch!!!!

the default server port for hl is 27015 ... this applies to all of its mods as far as i know. you can chose to have the server on a different port, but just stick with 27015, since you only have one hl server for that ip address. the default client port is 27005.

Well I'm sure there is a program that lets you run a client and a server on the same machine at the same time (no, not listenserver), but I can't seem to find it. Anyway, you wouldn't really want to do that, surely if this guy runs a dedicated opforce server he has more than one machine? Can't he use his old PC when he wants to play you?

I believe you right click your Halflife.exe, go to properties, in command line type "-port 27016" and it should work fine. (worked for me)

He must have a friend who doesn't use the computers much. Use their account (ask them for password).
