This is a a discussion topic for the map "Mesa Storage" by hlife_hotdog which can be found here

Map description:

This is the second level in my Mesa Collection. This level is based on the chapter called "We Got Hostiles" where Gordon first meets the military. There are three levels to this map. You can fight among the storage crates or traverse the catwalks. I have also included the ventilation system for snipers to hide in with regular openings in every room.

This is one of those truly rare occasions where I ask for a bigger screenshot. LOL

This has a lot of potential, and I love the z-axis stuff. I think it needs some work, though. Main problems:

1) Too much junk in the way. A few less boxes and barrels, please, it's too claustrophobic and this makes for constricted flow and bad gameplay. Even playing it in Action Half-Life, where I can climb, dive, and hop up off walls it was a pain in the ass to get around.

2) Connectivity could be a little better, it's frustrating being in a room where there's absolutely no way to reach the catwalk above you etc.

3) Lighting is too dark in many places. I'd brighten it up a little, maybe add some env_glows around the lights for bling.

I'd show it on the forums to get some feedback, then maybe release a "mesa_stor_v2" with the improvements. I really think this map has potential, but you should open it up to constructive criticism if you want to make it the best it can be! :D
