This is a a discussion topic for the map "dm_vertico" by satchmo which can be found here

Map description:

Three years after the Combines lost their iron grip over the domination of the human race, an abandoned missile silo that was active during the Seven-Hour War becomes a hot spot for the Uprising.

The Rebels struggle to wrest its control from the Combines, due to the strategic generators. The Combines are staging a steadfast defense, unwilling to relinquish this valuable resource to the Rebel Forces.

dm_vertico is a medium-sized map emphasizing the importance of vertical combat. Its size is best suitable for 4-8 players, but it can accommodate up to sixteen.

I know the perfect word to describe the Combine architectural style:

I liked the map, but the "nuke" option really destroyed it for me. Seemed like every 30 seconds I got blinded and several players got killed. Why include that? (honestly asking)

I am actually quite proud of the "nuke" trap. It took me a while to perfect it.

There is actually an abort button in the map that shuts off the countdown and prevents the explosion from going off. See if you can find it (it's on the third level, the same level as the "nuke" control).

In addition, there is only a small portion of the map that can kill players when the flash goes off. Most players are safe in the map.

Unless you are at the bottom level or inside the atrium (e.g. missile silo), you should not be hurt from the blast.

In fact, even at the bottom level, there are two areas where you can be safe when the "nuke" goes off. If you stay behind the two blast shields in the bottom level with the AR combine ball ammo during the blast, you shall escape unharmed.

I know none of that is obvious, but the more you play this map, the more secrets you'll find out (there are still many other secrets that I did not reveal in this message yet).
