I have been trying to get the ai's/ combine in my game to carry out the assault i have laid out. I have gone through at least 2 tuts/articles on this and they won't attack you unless you go up or near them.

PLACING NPC's: I have 9 combine soldiers that are in the building and i want then to come out when the player sounds the alarm. I have set up the alarm and put in the outputs but they dont do it. By the way how do you get your button to not move when you click it (i get it somtimes but some i just dont know why they do it). I have got ai_goal_assaults set up with rally_points in front of them. They are all hooked up to assault_points to go attack me and my rebel friends. When i push the button the alarm sounds but no combine. I go up to there room They go out part ways like on the path but then stop about 1/4 of the way.

NPC MAKER: Basically same thing but the npc's stay where they spawn but everything is set up the same.

Make them go out with a aiscripted_sequence.
